The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Strategist to oversee all trade and day-to-day maintenance operations across our portfolio of hotel properties in Cairns FNQ. This integral role protects our assets and is accountable for managing complex building systems, ensuring preventative maintenance plans are in place, maintaining all regulatory requirements, and leading emergency response efforts from the property perspective.

About You

We invite applications from individuals with relevant tertiary qualifications and proven expertise in collaboration, asset management, compliance, operations, and training to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage budgets and maintain complex building systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, pumps, and generators.
  • Leverage systems such as Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for effective maintenance planning and execution.
  • Lead technical staff, manage multiple projects, and coordinate vendor relationships.
  • Develop maintenance strategies, produce detailed reports, and establish operational standards.
