About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic and innovative property development company based on the Gold Coast. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the operational efficiency and success of our development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of development projects in collaboration with the development team.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain product knowledge.
  • Team Leadership and Culture:
  • Embed team culture, promote open communication, and encourage knowledge sharing through team-building initiatives.
  • Coordinate and run weekly outcomes meetings and rolling '90 Day Outcomes' plans.
  • Conduct performance reviews, providing ongoing training and development to the team.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular reviews of processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement strategies and software systems to track progress, identify roadblocks early on, and collaborate with the team to find solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Risk and Financial Management:
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring the company's exposure is minimized.
  • Assist with project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payments.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Support marketing and sales strategies across projects as required.
  • Represent the company in a positive light at all times.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Prepare weekly sales reports highlighting key activities to share with the General Manager.
  • Support key projects and events as directed by the General Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Property Economics or a related field.
  • Prior experience in an Operations Manager or Development-related role with a property developer.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing residential development projects.
  • Thorough understanding of industry regulations and standards.
