Job Overview:
">This is a Quality Assurance Specialist role that involves ensuring high-quality standards in the build of nuclear-powered submarines.
">The successful candidate will be accountable for establishing and implementing quality control processes, with a focus on safe and efficient systems of work.
">Effective stakeholder engagement is essential to ensure quality processes are understood and applied consistently.
">As part of this role, you will receive tailored development opportunities, including world-class training in nuclear technology and exposure to cutting-edge submarine programs.
">Upon completion of your deployment, you will return to Australia to carry out build activities on the SSN-AUKUS Submarines at the Osborne Shipyard.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Support the development and execution of the SSN-AUKUS Quality Management strategy, aligning with business objectives.
">- Set clear goals and drive results in conjunction with stakeholders.
">- Define and implement quality programs, ensuring governance arrangements empower teams while maintaining compliance.
">- Provide advice on supply chain frameworks and policies.
">- Communicate business strategy and goals to team members, manage to outcomes, and delegate responsibilities.
">Requirements:
">- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quality Management, or relevant experience in a similar role.
">- Demonstrated experience in quality management, ideally within a shipyard, or heavy engineering, or manufacturing environment.
">- High standards and expectations in order to deliver a quality product.
">- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
">- Ability to balance conflicting priorities and deliver against customer requirements.
">- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
