Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor to lead our welding team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge projects. As a key member, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our goal of exploring the stars.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing a team. They should also have knowledge of welding processes, codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of approximately 30 technicians, including performance management tasks.
  • Supervise daily production floor activities, schedules, and workflow.
  • Provide technical support to the welding team.
  • Collaborate with management and engineering teams to optimize fit-up and welding processes.
  • Assist in designing tooling and fixturing for weld and fit-up operations.
  • Ensure control and quality of production welds.
  • Apply welding codes and uphold high workmanship standards.
  • Enforce safety regulations on site and among personnel.
  • Review work instructions and recommend changes as needed.
  • Participate in hiring processes by assessing candidates and providing recommendations.
  • Plan, schedule, assign, and evaluate work performance.
  • Communicate performance expectations and collaborate with team members; recommend standards and ratings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with 4+ years of experience in GTAW, FCAW, or GMAW welding, or 8+ years in metal fabrication.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of welding, cutting, fabrication equipment, and maintenance.
  • Experience managing more than 10 employees.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and weld symbols per AWS D17.1.
  • Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.6, and D1.2 standards.
  • Trade school certification.
