Job Overview

This high-level position is responsible for overseeing a team of up to 120 technicians, ensuring seamless production processes and fostering a culture of innovation within the work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a staff of 40+ employees per shift (up to 120 on 2 shifts)
  • Drive modification, repair, assembly, and integration of production assemblies to guarantee timely delivery and quality targets
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times and address recurring non-conformance issues effectively
  • Review work instructions and make recommendations for change when necessary
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet tight production schedules and provide technical support to the welding team
  • Work closely with management and engineering teams to streamline fit-up and welding processes
  • Ensure adherence to welding codes and uphold high workmanship standards with the production team
  • Determine the appropriate skill sets needed, develop policies and procedures, and ensure their effective implementation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in a relevant field
  • 4+ years of experience in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), or gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
  • 3+ years of management experience
