Family Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service, you will provide specialist counselling, case management, and group work services for individuals who have experienced trauma.

You will be responsible for managing complex client issues, advocating across sectors, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective services. Your expertise in crisis and long-term counselling, as well as your ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, will be essential in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification that gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a cohesive team culture.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long-term counselling, as well as group work services.
