**About the role**:
Bethany is excited to advertise for the role of Child and Family Support Practitioner, based at the Orange Door, Geelong. This position is full time, ongoing and will be reporting to the Team Leader - Child and Family.

The Orange Door is an integrated intake pathway to family violence services and family services, keeping the whole family in view, with support tailored to each family member's needs. The Orange Door brings together services as a partnership to support women, children and families and keep perpetrators in view. The Support Practitioner will work within this multidisciplinary team of practitioners to delivery high quality, integrated, safe and effective responses to Victorian women, children and families.

**Key **responsibilities**:

- Receiving and managing referrals for vulnerable families, women and children experiencing family violence and perpetrators of family violence to The Orange Door including the delivery of client screening, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation and coordinated referrals consistent with the Integrated Practice Framework, Operational Guidelines, Service Specifications and relevant risk assessment tools and frameworks.
- Under the guidance of senior practitioners, adopt a whole of family view and use contemporary and evidence-based approaches to identify family violence risk and child and family vulnerability.
- Understanding the service system and providing information and advice about service options and pathways to inform and empower clients.

**About you**:

- Knowledge of child development/attachment, BICM, MARAM, and screening and assessment of child and family vulnerability.
- Advocates and champions to achieve positive change.
- Demonstrates commitment to social justice and social inclusion.
- Leads a culture of respectful relationships and behaviour across the organisation.
