Job Overview

Our company is seeking an experienced technical support specialist to join our team in Newcastle. This onsite role requires Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an AGSVA Baseline clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional technical support in a fast-paced environment where customer satisfaction is paramount.
  • Assist new users with their IT hardware collection and setup.
  • Evaluate and deploy new equipment, such as laptops and mobile phones, to ensure they are up to date and deployment ready prior to release to customers.
  • Record all customer contacts in the appropriate IT service management tool.
  • Keep customers updated on the status of their tickets.
  • Utilize tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure as directed.
  • Initiate and drive service and process improvements.
  • Adhere to best practice methodologies and recognized ITIL processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional customer experience with regard to end-user services.
  • The ability to prioritize work to ensure achievement of all service level agreements.
  • Sound knowledge of laptops, desktop PCs, printers, media, and audio-visual equipment, as well as mobility devices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information to the target audience.
  • Professional customer service skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
  • Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an AGSVA Baseline clearance.
