Project Lead - Waste Water

Civil project managers are essential in the successful delivery of waste water projects. They oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, leadership skills, and commercial awareness with a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review and interpret project documentation including drawings, contracts, and specifications
  2. Manage project planning, programming, and resourcing from inception to delivery
  3. Attend post-tender meetings and manage correspondence with clients
  4. Work with site personnel to set up and deliver projects successfully
  5. Prepare, monitor, and update project programs, managing extensions of time as required
  6. Evaluate and maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental, and risk controls
  7. Conduct site visits and meetings to oversee project progress and performance
  8. Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiations and claims
  9. Handle project variations, RFIs, progress claims, invoices, and final completion documents
  10. Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout delivery
  11. Resolve defects, disputes, and ensure profitability across projects
About You:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a project manager in Australia
  • A proven background in managing waste water projects
  • Civil engineering qualifications are necessary
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, contracts, and specifications
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • A strong commercial mindset with a proven ability to deliver projects profitably
  • Able to lead and collaborate effectively with site teams and subcontractors
