Position Overview
As a seasoned Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and evaluation of departmental systems to fulfill cybersecurity standards.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in providing cybersecurity risk management and analytical services for both on-premises and cloud-based platforms, along with their related security challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align security objectives with the Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), Essential 8, and other recognized industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) activities, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Conduct technical evaluations and endorsements of technical solution designs.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to strengthen the security posture of the department's network and information systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Security Analyst with a strong background in security monitoring, access control, application patching, hardening, and other relevant security analyst functions.
- Familiarity with Australian government security frameworks, including ISM, PSPF, and Essential 8, in extensive on-premises and cloud environments.
- Possession of relevant industry certifications and qualifications.
