Our responsibilities also include advising governmental bodies, executing programs, and enforcing regulations to safeguard the environment and uphold quality standards.

Location: ACT

To qualify for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens and possess or be eligible for a Baseline security clearance.

Position Overview

As a seasoned Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the planning, execution, and evaluation of departmental systems to fulfill cybersecurity mandates.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering cybersecurity risk management and analytical services for both on-premises and cloud-based platforms, addressing their unique security challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align security protocols with the ISM, PSPF, Essential 8, and other recognized industry standards.
  • Facilitate IRAP preparation tasks and ensure comprehensive documentation.
  • Conduct technical assessments and endorsements of proposed technical solutions.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to bolster the security framework of the department's network and information systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Security Analyst with a solid background in security monitoring, access management, application patching, and system hardening.
  • Familiarity with Australian government security frameworks, including ISM, PSPF, and Essential 8, in large-scale on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Relevant industry certifications and qualifications are advantageous.
