Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee relations, talent management, health and welfare benefits, payroll, and employment immigration. You will lead a team of experienced payroll staff and an HR Generalist, and report to the Sr. Vice President of HR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team that provides guidance to managers and employees on issues related to talent management, diversity and inclusion, payroll, benefits, and retirement.
  • Be a business partner with leaders, focusing on coaching and consulting to leverage your HR expertise to influence business decisions.
  • Administer, interpret, and assist in revising and developing various human resource practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers regarding personnel practices, policies, employment laws, and various employee relations issues.
  • Recommend policy changes to the Sr. VP of HR.
  • In partnership with the AgFirst/Farm Credit Bank of Texas plan administrator, responsible for benefit plan design and implementation.
  • Ensure bank compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations.
  • Oversee compliance with USCIS regulations, including I-9 and employee immigration programs, as well as employment-based visa processes.
  • Provide Sr. VP of HR with various human resource reports as necessary.
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, budgets, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Participate in developing department goals and objectives, development plans, systems, and processes with an emphasis on process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Handle employee counseling, employee assistance program, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Resolve employee relations issues using conflict resolution best practices.
  • Participate as a team member on bank, departmental, and divisional change management teams.
  • Oversee employee meetings and employee engagement events.
  • Present at a variety of HR-sponsored activities, programs, training sessions, committee meetings, and preparing supporting materials.
  • Develop agendas and review topics and prepare employee communications.
  • Respond to bank audits that detail personnel practices, affirmative action plans, diversity, and salary administration processes.
  • Recommend an operational budget for areas of responsibility.
  • Oversee Diversity Council activities and administration to support our strategic diversity goals.
  • Consult with association contacts on general employment issues.
  • Oversee department records management/enterprise content management processes.
  • Serve as department data steward.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, industrial relations, or a related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seven (7) or more years of direct HR experience with a concentration in HR Administration, Employee Relations, Payroll, and Business Partnership.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations relating to general HR administration, employment practices, and wage & hour disciplines.
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong business judgment, and supervisory experience.
  • Familiar with the latest thinking in HR practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, coaching, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Project management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills.
