Research Scientist

Are you passionate about advancing human immunology research? Do you want to play a vital role in a dynamic and collaborative research team?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Centre for Clinical and Experimental Transplantation (CCET) as a Research Scientist. You will be working closely with experienced researchers to develop and refine your research skills, including the processing and analysis of clinical samples, coordination with trial teams, biobanking, and immunological assays such as ELISA and flow cytometry.

You'll have the chance to contribute to life-changing scientific discovery and work on a unique project exploring how immunosuppressive drugs impact the immune response to the Shingrix vaccine in transplant recipients.

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in medical laboratory science and a keen interest in contributing to the field of organ transplantation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research projects under the guidance of experienced researchers
  • Develop and refine research skills, including data analysis and interpretation
  • Collaborate with trial teams and other researchers to advance human immunology research
  • Participate in biobanking and immunological assays

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent qualification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
  • Sound knowledge of human biology and basic laboratory practices
