Senior Biomedical Development Manager

Delivering a comprehensive biomedical device development service, you'll lead and manage research and development activities. As the Senior Biomedical Development Manager of the Clinical and Research Support Team, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the continual improvement of clinical and business outcomes.
- Lead and manage the professional research and development of biomedical device concepts, plans, and products in close collaboration with medical and research experts to ensure that overall compliance and performance is met.
- Deliver a specialist and expert biomedical device development and manufacturing advisory and consultancy service to academics, clinicians, and other health professionals affiliated with SA Health.
- Oversee research and development reviews and audits and develop strategies and team objectives to respond to business goals and objectives.
- Initiate, lead, and oversee highly complex projects or services associated with the research and development of specialized or diverse systems, technology, and devices to support service delivery and improvement objectives.
Requirements:
- Degree level, diploma, or advanced diploma in biomedical engineering or a similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and evaluating the delivery of research and development services.
- Sound experience in undertaking specialist research, analysis, and development of biomedical devices and systems where client and staff safety are paramount.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical device manufacturing standards and regulations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across a multi-disciplinary environment including effective negotiations with stakeholders and conflict management.
- Extensive skills in working within broad directions, utilizing initiative, determining priorities, and resource allocation to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
