Sleep Health Research Assistant

Flinders University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the effective delivery of clinical research, including clinical trials. This role will assist the Chief Investigator and research team with tasks such as participant recruitment and scheduling, adherence to trial protocols, coordination of study logistics, operation of laboratory equipment, data collection, and administrative support.

About the Role

This position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality sleep research projects and work in a dynamic and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will possess a degree in a relevant scientific field, capability to contribute to the design, coordination, and execution of research experiments, demonstrated interest in respiratory and sleep disorders or human physiology, experience in a clinical sleep laboratory or research in respiratory/sleep physiology, and Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) qualification or equivalent.

About You
  • A degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., medical sciences, psychology, biomedical engineering), or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Capability to contribute to the design, coordination, and execution of research experiments.
  • A demonstrated interest in respiratory and sleep disorders or human physiology.
  • Experience in a clinical sleep laboratory or research in respiratory/sleep physiology.
  • Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) qualification or equivalent.
