Rail Network Performance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Communications Engineer to lead the development of asset management strategies and drive performance improvement across our rail network.
This role requires a strong background in electrical or communication engineering, with expertise in maintenance planning and execution. You will work closely with our maintenance crew to identify and resolve technical issues, champion root cause analysis, and develop maintenance strategies for our MPLS and LTE networks.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of asset management frameworks and have experience in developing and implementing safety management systems. They will also be responsible for defining asset life cycles, ensuring safe and reliable rail operations.
About You- A tertiary qualification in Electrical or Communication Engineering or equivalent with recognition or membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and/or maintenance planning of Voice, Data, Radio, and LTE Mobile Communications Systems, including CCTV Systems, Customer Information Systems, and good knowledge of Communications Systems and Standards within a rail or similarly complex environment.
- Proven experience in providing engineering support in the planning, design, and delivery of maintenance and/or construction works in an operational asset-intensive environment.
- Proven experience in applying asset management frameworks and asset management strategy and substantial experience in applying safety management systems and knowledge of current Safety Legislation.
