Facilities Manager Job Overview

The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of facilities, ensuring a secure and efficient work environment. This role involves managing complex environments within the pharmaceutical, life science, GMP, biotech, R&D, and manufacturing industries.

  • Supervise maintenance, safety, janitorial services, GMP scope, compliance, landscaping, pest control, IFM scope of hard and soft services.
  • Develop and implement facility management policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
  • Manage resource allocation for maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations.
  • Lead and manage a team of facility staff and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Plan and oversee renovations, refurbishments, and building projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
