About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our team of 15 customer-focused freight forwarders. Reporting to the General Manager, this role entails overseeing national operations, including training, compliance, profit-and-loss management, and data accuracy. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and key clients to deliver end-to-end supply chain solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor the daily operations team of 15 to ensure they are adequately supported
  • Maintain and develop existing and potential agency supplier networks to guarantee contract fulfillment
  • Monitor operational reporting to identify potential issues and suggest process improvement opportunities
  • Oversee the P/L & EOM of the business unit
  • Ensure adherence to ISO:9001 standards and internal policies/procedures
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Direct experience managing an Australian freight forwarding operations team
  • Previous experience working with both Import and Export Operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and analyzing CW1 reporting functions
  • Familiarity with dealing with complex overseas agents
  • Able to deliver reports and present to a board of directors

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
