Job Description:

The Cafe/Restaurant Manager will lead the team and manage all aspects of the cafe operation, including menu formulation and pricing, daily operations, and promotional strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the head chef and director to develop menus and promotional strategies.
  2. Manage daily cafe operations, ensuring timely service and high-quality food and beverages.
  3. Plan promotional events and sales to boost new product sales and improve operational performance.
  4. Ensure end-of-day reports, cash, and stock security, and implement stock control and cash handling procedures.
  5. Recruit, select, train, and assign employees, and coach and counsel them to exceed customer expectations.

Requirements:

  1. Masters of International Hotel Management.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced cafe environment as a supervisor or manager.
  3. Ability to build great relationships with staff and guests.
  4. Strong time-management skills and ability to plan ahead.
  5. Experience as a barista is highly preferred.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary of AUD 75,000 per year plus superannuation.
