Job Description

The Asset Strategy Engineer plays a vital role in transmission network operations, focusing on asset lifecycle planning, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance for substations.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • Develop expertise in Asset Class Strategies, Asset Design Manuals, Maintenance Strategies, and Functional Requirements.">
  • Review and manage deviations from existing standards, adoption of new practices, and associated risks in construction, commissioning, installation, testing, and operation.">
  • Support asset investment activities by assisting in delivery team processes from planning to handover as the owner customer.">
  • Provide technical leadership for substation services and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory performance obligations and network operation requirements.">
  • Act as Principal Engineer, overseeing Technical Authority and applying deep technical expertise within the specialist area.">
">Qualifications and Experience:">
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with eligibility for Engineers Australia membership.">
  • Experience in the energy industry (transmission, distribution, or generation).">
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes.">
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.">
  • Ability to work autonomously in a rapidly changing environment.">
  • Knowledge of commercial and contracting requirements, with experience in reliability engineering (statistical analysis) highly desirable.">
