Job Description

The Asset Strategist plays a pivotal role within the Property Services Directorate, reporting directly to the Manager Portfolio Planning for the ongoing management of the Strategic Asset Management Framework (SAMF). This key position is responsible for operationalising, reviewing, and updating the SA Housing Trust's SAMF.

As a central figure in asset management, the Asset Strategist reports on strategic performance, contributing to improved asset performance. They are tasked with enhancing the use of current asset data and developing innovative approaches for collecting, analysing, and applying asset data.

This role requires strong communication skills, as the Asset Strategist will need to interact with internal business units and external stakeholders regarding the SAMF. They will also be responsible for aligning activities across the business with the SAMF and contributing to related strategies, business plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in asset management, business, real estate, land economics, development, valuation, urban planning, or equivalent is desirable.
  • Successful applicants must satisfy a National Police Clearance prior to employment.
  • Some intrastate travel may be required.
  • Subject to organisational changes, staff supervision and/or line management may be involved.
