As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for contract administration, finance management, cost control, and tender support for major projects in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Administer head contracts, ensuring all obligations are fulfilled, including issuing notices and preparing claims.
- Draft subcontracts, including preparing tender documents, negotiating legal agreements with customers or suppliers, and conducting research on industry topics.
- Communicate changes in business legal obligations to project-level individuals.
- Monitor contract performance, variations, and compliance for major projects.
- Assist site engineers in procuring downstream packages.
- Support project managers and senior management with cost forecasting and monthly costs reporting.
- Maintain commercial registers related to contractual correspondence.
- Adhere to internal business procedures and WHSE requirements.
- Engage with clients and downstream supply chain stakeholders.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement through collaboration with the management team.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Law, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Contract Administrator on major projects.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and amend draft contracts according to business requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
