Senior Research Officer

About the Role
The Senior Research Officer plays a key role in supporting the research functions of the Child Death Review Unit at Legal Aid NSW. The role will undertake research and project tasks, support data analysis, and prepare reports in relation to this work. The role also provides strategic advice to senior staff on issues relating to child death prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake research and project tasks to support the Child Death Review Unit's strategic priorities
- Support data analysis and report writing to inform policy and practice
- Provide strategic advice to senior staff on issues relating to child death prevention
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and completion of child death-related research and projects
About You
- You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as statistics, epidemiology, social sciences, public health, and psychology
- You will have demonstrated experience analyzing complex matters, including assessment of systemic issues
- You will understand current research methodology and best practices in social sciences research
- You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to produce high-quality, accurate, and well-researched work
