Coal Train Operator Job

We are seeking an experienced Coal Train Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate coal trains on the Aurizon Network System, ensuring safe and reliable delivery of coal from mine sites to the Hay Point Terminal.

This role requires strong communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to strict safety protocols.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Operating coal trains on the Aurizon Network System
  • Providing services including mainline operations, marshalling, and yard activities
  • Carrying out routine checks and preparations
  • Accurately completing documentation and data entry
  • Mentoring trainee drivers

About You:

  • Certified Locomotive Driver
  • Previous experience in the Goonyella Rail system
  • Experience with E40AC locomotives and distributed power operations
  • Unrestricted Open C Class Driver's Licence
  • Strong computer skills and ability to maintain high safety standards
