About this roleThis is a key position within our coal terminal operations team, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of automated and semi-automated equipment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coal Train Unloading : Ensuring the smooth and timely unloading of coal trains to minimize delays and optimize productivity.
  • Coal Stacking : Operating automated and semi-automated fixed plant to efficiently stack coal in designated areas, ensuring minimal waste and maximum storage capacity.
  • Ship Loading : Safely and efficiently loading coal onto ships for transportation to customers around the world.

Safety, Health and Environment:

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the community, and the environment through adherence to regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company policies.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to housekeeping standards and protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Australian Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with bulk materials handling operations or similar environments.
  • Familiarity with fixed plant equipment, automation systems, and control room operations would be beneficial.
  • Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Computer literate with experience in SAP or other relevant software applications.
