Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coal Quality Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily and weekly coal blending requirements, supporting the operations team in the field, and ensuring site production targets are met.

  • Develop and implement daily and weekly blend plans;
  • Identify and manage interactions with other mining processes;
  • Outline risks and opportunities in the schedule;
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure coal uncovery schedules align with blend requirements;
  • Work closely with Coal Mining Supervisors to ensure coal plans and schedules are executed;
  • Liaise with Logistics and Marketing teams to manage production requirements;
  • Complete coal quality reconciliations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary education in Engineering or Geology and demonstrated experience at a coal mining operation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Able to work independently and as part of a team, the successful candidate will also possess:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
