Lead Financial Accountant Role at a Leading Investment Manager

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a prominent financial services company to find an experienced Financial Accountant. In this pivotal position, you'll play a key role in analysing complex data, delivering actionable insights, and making strategic recommendations to drive the organisation's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed monthly management reports and board reports that provide valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements, including ASX listed reporting.
  • Partner with business units to provide expert analysis of financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate projections and informed decision-making.
  • Support funding, cash flow planning, and tax funding activities, optimising the company's financial position.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably in financial services with banking and investment management expertise.
  • CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent) with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Experience with local regulatory reporting is highly regarded, as is proficiency in IFRS accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills, exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in this role.
