Crane Operations Manager Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Crane Department.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Achieve sales targets through proactive business development and introducing crane equipment and services to new and existing clients.
    • Build strong relationships with customers, providing expert consultation on crane configurations, conducting lift studies, and ensuring the best solutions for their needs.
    • Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotes, and product solutions to clients to secure long-term dry hire opportunities.
    • Oversee crane operations, ensuring the fleet is well-maintained, and manage the procurement of new cranes.
    • Ensure smooth mobilisation and de-mobilisation of cranes, liaising with transport suppliers and clients, and providing AutoCAD drawings as required.
    • Lead and manage a dedicated crane team, ensuring efficiency, safety, and performance across operations.
    • Regularly report to Senior Management on sales performance, operational issues, market opportunities, and risks.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in crane operations management, sales, or business development within the equipment hire industry.
  • Strong knowledge of crane fleet management, maintenance, and mobilisation processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies to meet business targets.
  • Competence in preparing proposals, quotes, and lift studies for clients.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for crane drawings is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team.
