We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to oversee and grow our Crane Department. If you're a driven, experienced leader in operations and sales, this is your chance to make an impact at a fast-growing, nationally recognised company.

About the Role

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving the continued success and growth of our Crane Department. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Crane Department's operations, including managing targets, expanding the customer base, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve monthly and annual targets through active business development, introducing our crane equipment and services to new and existing clients.

Build and maintain relationships with customers, providing expert consultation on crane configurations, conducting studies, and ensuring the best solutions for their needs.

Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotes, and product solutions to clients to secure long-term opportunities.

Oversee crane operations, ensuring the fleet is well-maintained, and manage the procurement of new cranes.

Ensure smooth mobilisation and de-mobilisation of cranes, liaising with transport suppliers and clients, and providing drawings as required.

Lead and manage a dedicated team, ensuring efficiency, safety, and performance across operations.

Regularly report to Senior Management on performance, operational issues, market opportunities, and risks.

Travel as needed to manage inquiries, business opportunities, and crane tasks.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in operations management, sales, or business development within the equipment hire industry.

Strong knowledge of crane management, maintenance, and mobilisation processes.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to develop and execute strategies to meet business targets.

Competence in preparing proposals, quotes, and studies for clients.

Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawings is highly desirable.

Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team.

Ability to travel as required for business opportunities and customer requirements.
