
Senior Hospitality Executive

The Hotel General Manager is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of the hotel, ensuring optimal operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and revenue growth.
This strategic position requires extensive experience in managing commercial results of large and complex operations. The successful candidate will have expertise in annual business planning, financial and headcount budgeting, proposed business targets, KPIs, and key projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities to bring the business mission, vision, and principles to life through a motivated and engaged operational workforce. They will also have the ability to build organisational capability using existing frameworks for development and performance management.
In addition, they will have a passion for leading and directing a customer service culture that exceeds guest expectations. The successful candidate will have excellent relationship management skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct all hotel operations, including food and beverage, conference & events, hotel accommodation, and property services.
- Act as second-in-command to the General Manager as required, with additional accountability for gaming and security operations.
- Provide leadership and operational planning to all departments, working closely with stakeholders to maximise efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have:
- Substantial management and leadership experience, ideally from a similar industry.
- Tasmanian Gaming, Liquor and Tobacco licensing or the ability to obtain and maintain these licenses.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education.
