Critical Attributes

  1. Demonstrated success in large-scale renewable connections, registration, and commissioning according to the Australian National Electricity Rules.
  2. A positive problem-solving mentality and great communication skills.
  3. Proficiency with power system analysis tools, including PSSE, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Python.

Key Responsibilities and Experience

  • Qualifications: A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering/Power Systems (Masters viewed favorably).
  • Experience: 4+ years of industry experience, with Australian work experience viewed favorably.
  • Fundamental Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of power electronics control systems and experience working within an OEM is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently to solve complex tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills and experience in building relationships with clients.
  • Technical Reporting: Proficient in writing technical reports and presenting to clients.
  • Familiarity with Standards: Familiarity with applicable standards, such as IEC and IEEE.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Great interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multidisciplinary environment.

Value Add

  • Experience working in a transmission system operator is considered an advantage.
  • More experienced engineers are welcome to apply for the role, which can be considered for a senior position.
