Role Overview

This Graduate Mechanical Engineer position involves working closely with colleagues across a multi-disciplinary practice, based in Melbourne. You will provide specialist consultancy input on projects across various sectors, including education, healthcare, workplace, retail, and critical systems.

You will undertake detailed mechanical building services engineering design and analysis, defining and translating clients' needs into designs for buildings, facilities, and services – all with sustainability at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing sustainable mechanical building services engineering solutions
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver projects across multiple sectors
  • Undertaking detailed design and analysis of mechanical building services engineering projects

Requirements:

  • Accredited or on course to achieve a MEng degree level in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • Relevant work experience or placement/internship ideal
  • Digital engineering skills, including Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo), modern programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, VB), and basic knowledge in Machine Learning desirable
  • Organised and methodical approach, meeting deadlines and appreciating commercial factors affecting design solutions
  • Collaborative nature, empathising with clients' needs and utilising excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Skill Enhancements:

  • Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo)
  • Modern programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, VB)
  • Machine Learning
