Key Accountabilities
- Monitor regulatory, competitor and media developments relating to climate and environmental issues and advise Country Road Group for strategic direction as appropriate.
- Develop and implement climate and environment strategies, roadmaps and KPIs in alignment with company values, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements and in collaboration with responsible business units.
- Partner with internal teams and supply chain to influence solutions and initiatives for energy efficiency, decarbonisation, waste and environmental impacts, and act as a strategic advisor on climate and environment topics.
- Review and develop monitoring and reporting systems to track impacts and initiatives, including energy use, expenditure and efficiency investments.
- Lead the development of the business-wide ASRS program, ensuring compliance and preparation for disclosures.
- Manage day-to-day operations and stakeholder input for the ASRS program, including ELT, Board, auditors, consultants, and parent company.
- Monitor regulatory and peer landscape, advising management on ASRS approach.
- Assess and build business cases for future climate and environment initiatives to mitigate costs and environmental impacts.
- Manage communication with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of initiatives and reports.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to support implementation and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee carbon accounting systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy, transparency, and decision-usefulness.
- Manage data collection, review datasets, and prepare reports for internal and external use.
Key Capabilities
- Expertise in environmental, climate disclosures & carbon accounting aligned with GHG Protocol and NGER Act standards.
- Experience with TCFD, TNFD, ISSB, AASB or similar standards.
- Familiarity with climate scenario analysis and decarbonisation pathways.
- Understanding of financial reporting and non-financial assurance programs.
- Experience in strategy development, project planning, and internal communications.
- Ability to influence management and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Meticulous approach to data handling and reporting.
- Knowledge of environmental and social issues in fashion and retail innovation is desirable.
