Job Description

Design and produce high-quality mechanical deliverables in line with project requirements and industry standards. Ensure designs meet signalling mechanical requirements, standards, and functional documentation.

  • Develop signal mechanical design solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Verify final designs against signalling mechanical specifications and documentation.
  • Conduct independent reviews of designs where necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve technical issues and maintain design integrity.
  • Deliver work that meets applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical input to multidisciplinary teams during the design and implementation phases.
  • Support documentation and traceability of design activities for audit and regulatory purposes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification acceptable for professional membership.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in railway mechanical signalling design.
  • Optional: RPEQ accreditation.
  • Strong understanding of signalling mechanical standards and requirements.
  • Proficiency in mechanical signalling design production and verification.
  • High attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve design issues.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
