Role Overview

The Manager of Compliance Obligations will serve as a key advisor, overseeing the management of compliance responsibilities within the policy and risk framework across the organization. This role involves addressing various business and IT services to ensure a smooth operational transition. The focus will be on minimizing regulatory and commercial risks associated with service provisions, including documentation, oversight, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and challenge compliance management practices, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks related to compliance and contractual obligations.
  • Act as the main contact for inquiries regarding compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Support operational teams in maintaining an effective compliance framework.
  • Provide timely and practical advice on compliance issues to the business.
  • Ensure compliance reporting meets organizational obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing controls to reduce compliance risks.
  • Manage investigations of compliance incidents and develop necessary action plans.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in business, IT, or regulatory compliance within the financial services sector.
  • A minimum of 5 years managing complex relationships governed by regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Experience in balancing compliance requirements with business objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk and compliance management in complex organizations.
  • Familiarity with legislative and regulatory requirements affecting the organization.
