The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our Legal and Governance Team in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane on a permanent basis.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a project to develop a methodology that addresses the issues identified in a recent Obligations Management Internal audit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Compliance to design a system to identify and assess new compliance obligations as they arise and implement appropriate management strategies.
- Establish and execute any compliance monitoring program to ensure ongoing adherence to identified obligations.
- Design and produce regular reports on compliance status, risks, and issues to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and support the first line to develop strategies to address them.
- Collaborate with departments to implement risk mitigation measures and ensure effective controls are in place.
Your background:
- Experience in a Compliance role, with strong knowledge of effective Obligation Management documentation and automation.
- Intermediate compliance and regulatory knowledge.
- Business and financial literacy.
- Relationship building skills and credibility to interact with and influence the business.
- Experience leading or supporting major projects.
