Engagement and Marketing Role

This role focuses on building relationships between the local community, stakeholders, and Narrabri Shire. As an Engagement and Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies to promote the unique attractions and opportunities within Narrabri Shire.

Some key responsibilities include developing engagement plans, creating promotional materials, and assisting with design and distribution of tourism-related content. Additionally, this role involves representing the Council at various stakeholder events and ensuring that the corporate image is maintained.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of experience in community engagement, communications, and marketing. They will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key qualifications and experience required include:

  • Qualifications or experience in community engagement, communications, or consultation
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communications campaigns
  • Understanding of modern communication technologies, including social media and analytics
