Job Opportunity
For People Operations, this means building strong processes and policies to invest effectively in employees. This includes creating one source of truth for all people data, delivering routine processes, managing employee relations cases, benefits administration, change management and keeping systems up to date.
In each region, a People Operations leader oversees delivery through two teams: Employee Relations and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ER cases to conclusion, particularly high-risk or complex cases.
- Upskill and coach managers to effectively manage employee cases.
- Lead and plan change programmes to deliver business outcomes while ensuring compliance with consultation requirements.
- Day-to-day management of union relationships.
- Manage and lead investigations where necessary.
- Monitor legislation changes and market trends within jurisdiction, developing or updating policies to maintain compliance and competitive advantage.
- Coach and support wider members of the People team on ER and policy matters.
Requirements for Success
- Experience managing various ER cases, including external claims.
- Managing positive relations with Unions and ensuring compliance with Award requirements.
- Delivering change programs, such as restructuring or integration.
- Significant knowledge or formal qualifications in employment law in AU, NZ and SNG, and experience in policy development.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and effective communication.
