Job Description

Social Impact Specialist - Domestic Family Violence Prevention and Intervention

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Social Impact Specialist to join our team in addressing domestic family violence at its roots.

This role is a critical part of our organization's efforts to create a world where everyone has access to equal opportunities. As a specialist in this area, you will play a key role in enhancing responses to DFSV within communities and providing referral pathways to services.

About the Role:

  • Engage with multicultural communities to address DFSV and gender equality issues through dialogue and connection-building
  • Develop and implement models to enhance community responses to DFSV and provide effective referral pathways
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advocate for change and build networks in the community
  • Identify needs and observations to inform collective responses

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Social science or social work qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience working with multicultural and multifaith communities
  • Community development background and knowledge of gender equity frameworks
