We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join our team as a Social Impact Specialist. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about creating positive social and environmental impact and want to make a difference in the world.

">Role Overview

The Social Impact Specialist will be responsible for leveraging the best of Atlassian employees and products to help unleash the potential of impact-driven organizations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of roles in the technology sector and what is required to deliver projects, as well as strong project management skills with experience supporting complex projects.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Work with partner organizations to understand, scope, and match the needs of our partner organizations to the skills of our employees
  2. Find and encourage suitable Atlassian volunteers to join skilled volunteering projects
  3. Support skilled volunteering projects from kick-off to completion
  4. Coordinate events to bring Atlassians and impact partners together for training and celebrations
  5. Develop and share internal communications to increase participation in Foundation-led projects and enable Atlassians to self-organize skilled volunteering opportunities with causes they care about
  6. Document processes, lessons learned, and outcomes to share back with the Foundation team and broader organization
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of tech sector experience strongly preferred
  • A deep understanding of roles in the technology sector and what is required to deliver projects (technical expertise not required)
  • Prioritization and project management skills, with experience supporting complex projects
  • Excellent time and task management skills; flexibility to flourish with multiple assignments
  • Enthusiasm and ability to encourage and empower others to give their time and expertise
  • Ability to GSD (Get Stuff Done) autonomously and with attention to detail
  • Flexibility, self-motivation, curiosity, and courage to try new things
  • Experience engaging large numbers of employees and/or volunteers
  • A problem solver; willing to adapt when necessary; comfortable with ambiguity
  • Able to work with an eclectic mix of geographically dispersed stakeholders
