Distinguished Government and Industry Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Distinguished Government and Industry Relations Specialist to join our team at Urban Utilities. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our future and make a real and lasting impact across our teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance and achievement of our organisation's objectives through effective engagement, partnerships, and relationships with key external stakeholders. This includes working closely with State and Federal Government, as well as industry and relevant sectors to set us up for success in delivering our future servicing strategies and goal to reshape the water cycle.
This role has a key role in securing a position of influence for Urban Utilities as part of the 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in Business, Communications, Marketing, and/or other relevant discipline/s. You will also have IAP2 Certification (highly regarded) and leadership experience within the water, infrastructure, planning or utilities sector, public sector, or other critical services.
You will have proven experience in strategic planning, organisational leadership, and risk management, as well as influencing senior stakeholders and building effective working relationships. You will also have expertise in project and change management, with the ability to understand and navigate complex regulatory and legislative environments, including in a political context.
A strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams, is essential for this role.
