About This Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology Day Unit team at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital.
As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will be responsible for providing safe and compassionate care to adult patients undergoing treatment for oncological and haematological conditions.
This is a busy 8-chair, 1-bed unit that operates Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), delivering high-quality outpatient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
You will work alongside Clinical Nurse Consultants, a Nurse Practitioner, a McGrath Cancer Nurse, and Oncology Educators, ensuring patients and their families receive excellent support throughout their treatment journey.
A supernumerary shift at commencement will support your transition into the role, and ongoing oncology-specific training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe and compassionate care to adult patients undergoing treatment for oncological and haematological conditions
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outpatient care
- Participate in ongoing oncology-specific training to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing (or working towards)
- Support from other staff in the unit, including NP and CNCs plus Oncology Specific Educators
- All relevant training and education required for HNELHD will be provided
