The role of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.
About the Role
The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer-focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.
- Monitor CCTV and radio communications systems;
- Access control and monitor fire and alarm panel;
- Respond to all customer enquiries and liaise with emergency services;
- Conduct foot patrols;
- Complete reports and computer use;
- Multiple locations within Darwin.
Skills & Experience
- Certificate II in Security Operations and current First Aid certificate;
- Working With Children Check (ORCE Card);
- Current NT Security licence;
- Dedication, reliability, and a commitment to security;
- Physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods;
- Great communication skills and Computer literacy skills;
- Ability to obtain vaccination and TB check requirements.
