Senior Payroll Operations Specialist

Job Opportunity
A forward-thinking organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to spearhead the end-to-end payroll function. As a key team member, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations across multiple entities, ensuring compliance and driving process enhancements.
- Spearhead the payroll function, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with legislation, awards, superannuation, and tax obligations.
- Manage fortnightly payroll across multiple entities and states, assessing current system architecture and evaluating alternative options.
- Develop and mentor the payroll team, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Coordinate FBT, payroll tax, and workers compensation lodgements, establishing governance frameworks and conducting compliance reviews.
- Drive automation and process improvements, providing payroll reporting and insights to senior leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll management, with exposure to process improvements and large-scale transformation projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Possession of a passion for continuous improvement and system optimization.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Certified Practising Payroll Clerk (CPP) or similar certification.
