Procurement Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team on a 6-month labour hire contract with a 6-month extension.

As a key member of our Procurement, Property and Contracts team, you will be responsible for managing effective and compliant BAU technology and digital procurements for goods and services such as hardware, software, licenses and ICT contractor personnel.

  • Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Working closely with technology managers and Senior Executive Leaders to deliver contract management and procurement solutions, ensuring business objectives are met and value for money is achieved
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on procurement and contract management strategy, preparing and finalizing approval documentation, preparing and finalizing tender and contract documentation
  • Assessing and reporting on procurement and probity risks, managing tender evaluations, and driving project delivery within tight timeframes
  • Managing relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure their business needs are understood and stakeholders are kept informed on the progress of their projects

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in managing end-to-end ICT procurements in a Commonwealth Government environment, as well as an active Baseline security clearance.

  • You will also have:
  • Experience using Government Panels like Digital Transformation Agency Marketplace, Software Marketplace and Hardware Marketplace
  • Proven track record in the interpretation and application of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules framework, and the PGPA legislation
  • An ability to navigate complex technology landscapes, execute procurement strategies, and deliver optimal outcomes for business areas
  • Excellent communication skills are crucial for simplifying complex concepts and influencing decision-makers
  • Experience in resolving complex client and stakeholder queries

Key Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

  • Advanced degree in a related field (e.g. procurement, supply chain management)
  • Relevant work experience in procurement and contract management
  • Active Baseline security clearance
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
