The Opportunity
There is an opportunity for an EL1 Procurement Specialist, Technology and Digital available of a 6-month labour hire contract with 6-month extension.
You'll join the Procurement, Property and Contracts team, which is a centralised support area of expertise to propel efficient, visible procurement and contract management. The wider team is going through an exciting transformation initiative with the appointment of new Senior Leaders who have a remit to improve the maturity of the procurement, legal and technology functions.
This contract provides the opportunity to be part of a team focused on improvement, efficiency and high performance.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing effective and compliant BAU technology and digital procurements for goods and services such as hardware, software, licences and ICT contractor personnel.
Your key duties will include:
- Working with technology managers and Senior Executive Leaders to deliver contract management and procurement solutions, ensuring business objectives are met and value for money is achieved
- Providing advice and guidance on procurement and contract management strategy, preparing and finalising approval documentation, preparing and finalising tender and contract documentation
- Assess and report on procurement and probity risks, managing tender evaluations, and driving project delivery within tight timeframes
- Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure their business needs are understood and stakeholders are kept informed on the progress of their projects
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in managing end-to-end ICT procurements in a Commonwealth Government environment, as well as an active Baseline security clearance.
You will also have:
- Experience using Government Panels like Digital Transformation Agency Marketplace, Software Marketplace and Hardware Marketplace
- Proven track record in the interpretation and application of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules framework, and the PGPA legislation
- An ability to navigate complex technology landscapes, execute procurement strategies, and deliver optimal outcomes for business areas
- Excellent communication skills are crucial for simplifying complex concepts and influencing decision-makers
- Experience in resolving complex client and stakeholder queries
Salary / Rate
- $90/hr - $110/hr + 12% Super
- 6-month labour hire contract + 6-month extension
- Candidates can be located in Canberra or Sydney
