Procurement Specialist Job Description

Our client requires a Procurement Specialist to manage technology and digital procurements for goods and services such as hardware, software, licences and ICT contractor personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing end-to-end ICT procurements in a Commonwealth Government environment, as well as an active Baseline security clearance.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering contract management and procurement solutions, ensuring business objectives are met and value for money is achieved. This includes working with technology managers and Senior Executive Leaders to deliver procurement solutions, preparing and finalising approval documentation, tender and contract documentation, assessing and reporting on procurement and probity risks, managing tender evaluations, and driving project delivery within tight timeframes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience using Government Panels like Digital Transformation Agency Marketplace, Software Marketplace and Hardware Marketplace
  • Proven track record interpreting and applying the Commonwealth Procurement Rules framework and the PGPA legislation
  • Ability to navigate complex technology landscapes, execute procurement strategies, and deliver optimal outcomes for business areas
  • Excellent communication skills for simplifying complex concepts and influencing decision-makers
  • Experience in resolving complex client and stakeholder queries
Benefits:

Successful candidates can expect to earn £90/hr - £110/hr + 12% Super. Additionally, this role offers a 6-month labour hire contract + 6-month extension, with opportunities for remote work available in Canberra or Sydney.
