Occupational Therapist for Children

We are seeking a skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Alexandra District Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality therapy services to children and their families, working collaboratively with our Speech Pathologist and mental health team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of children's sensory, motor, and cognitive skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support children's sensory, motor, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educational settings to ensure consistency and carry-over of therapeutic strategies.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes for children and families.
- Provide education and training to families and educational facilities to support consistency and carry-over of therapeutic strategies.
Requirements:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist.
- Sound knowledge of supporting children with emotional regulation and sensory integration challenges.
- Demonstrated knowledge of administration and interpretation of standardized assessments such as the Sensory Profile 2 and/or Sensory Processing Measure 2.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy workload.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
