Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our multidisciplinary Primary Health Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Community Health funded services to children between 1-16 years old and their families/caregivers. Using a family-centred approach, you will work alongside Speech Pathologists and mental health professionals to support clients with mild to moderate developmental delays and social-emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of children's sensory, motor, and cognitive skills.
  • Develop meaningful goals with families and carers to support a child's independence with Activities of Daily Living.
  • Design and implement individualised treatment plans to address children's sensory, motor, and cognitive needs.
  • Complete comprehensive reports to support funding applications and diagnostic assessments.
  • Implement evidence-based practices within therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and educational settings.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes for the child and family.
Requirements
  • Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Sound knowledge of supporting children with emotional regulation and sensory integration challenges.
  • Demonstrated expertise in administering and interpreting standardised assessments such as the Sensory Profile 2 or Sensory Processing Measure 2.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy workload.
  • Flexible and willing to collaborate with local kindergartens and schools.

Estimate Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
