About the Role

Chevron Australia Downstream (CAD) is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join the StarCard Sales team. This 12-month maximum term role will be based in Hamilton, Queensland, with the possibility of being based in other locations in Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the growth and marketing of the StarCard program to prospective customers, as well as providing support to the retention and growth of mid-market existing StarCard customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively pursue and secure new business opportunities for StarCard by identifying and targeting potential leads, collaborating with partners, and engaging in local prospecting efforts.
  • Proactively engage with existing mid-market StarCard customers to enhance retention and increase their transaction volumes.
  • Design and execute effective sales strategies aimed at meeting StarCard's sales objectives and targets.
  • Grow, sustain, and utilize a network of relevant contacts to facilitate new business acquisitions.
  • Negotiate and finalize agreements within authorized limits to achieve favorable commercial outcomes for Chevron.
  • Stay informed about competitors, market dynamics, and product trends.
  • Work collaboratively within Chevron to create proposals that align with client needs and ensure seamless implementation with WEX.
  • Ensure that all sales activities, including lead conversions and opportunities, are documented in a database and reported weekly against sales targets.
  • Be prepared to travel both inter- and intrastate on short notice.
